From Concept to Function
Dead Simple Design for an Agile Workforce. Samples from Around the World.

Podium: A nimble and light work surface to perform routine tasks in your department, where a full table is not necessary. Can usually be made from scrap Creform lengths.

Gravity-fed Racking System: Using nature to enable buffer stock to always be ready for the next process.

Angled Basin: Built around human ergonomics, this setup will prevent workplace repetitive injury. Designed with castors to be mobile.

Ribbon Rivet Guide: rivets were getting stuck on the feed rails of the gun, the user would have to reinsert the ribbon every time. I taught that this idea was just the first step to a better solution. Ultimately a backpack solution was invented by the staff after realizing that better solutions came after starting from this foundational step, saving an estimated 4 hours per month. Parts were fabricated by me to start the fabrication process.

(Below) The staff member needed to apply rivets in a high position, as well as the ground floor and under the chassis.

Terry Cloth Recycling: Simple but attractive remedy to properly sort discarded Terry Cloths to ensure proper recycling, to avoid needless fees from cleaning service, saving hundreds of dollars per year.

Various other excerpts from success stories. Oftentimes, a quick sketch will convey to others a place to start for Kaizen ideas, I encourage my teams to start someplace and to focus on ideas that help, and not focus on being embarrassed.
